A dream on the big screen — and the beginning of something bigger.
The Update
Last month, on December 20th 2025, something happened that I’m still processing.
I watched my story play on a movie screen.
Not on my laptop. Not on my phone.
On a real theater screen — in front of a real audience — at The Great Film Club.
I brought my live-action proof-of-concept trailer for You Fight Like A Girl and saw it projected the way I always imagined it: loud, bold, cinematic, and full of heart. Sitting in that room, surrounded by other filmmakers and creators, I felt this overwhelming mix of gratitude, disbelief, and pride.
This story started as words on a page.
Then it became a world.
Then characters.
Then a movement.
And now… it’s stepping into film.
I’m still just a writer chasing a dream. I’m still figuring things out as I go. But nights like that remind me why I started — and why I won’t stop.
Because stories about fighters, underdogs, misfits, and sensitive souls who refuse to stay down deserve to be seen.
This was a small screening in a big city.
But for me, it was a massive milestone.
And it’s only the beginning.
Thank you to everyone who’s supported this story, believed in it, and believed in me. We’re just getting started. 🥊🎬🔥
With my younger half-brother, Nick Naldi (left), who also starred in the trailer with me, and my fight choreographer, Shawn Crowder (right). We brought You Fight Like A Girl to life together.
From page to screen — and onward.
